Steve Priest Balsams Resort Guest Speaker on Androscoggin Trek to the Sea July 30, 2006

DIXVILLE NOTCH, NH – Steve Priest of Bedford,NH, author of Short Stories of an Outdoor Enthusiast – Never Say, “I Wish I Had…”, will be a guest speaker at The Balsams July 30, 2006. His topic will be The Androscoggin Source to the Sea Canoe and Kayak Trek. This adventuresome paddling trek begins near the Lake Umbagog outlet in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire and ends twenty days and 170 miles later in the Atlantic Ocean at Fort Popham, Maine. Through humor, pictures, sounds, and storytelling, Steve describes the excitement as he paddles, tents, goes moose sightseeing, dines, and learns about the independent Republic of Indian Stream.
